Some people leave a mark on the world simply by being themselves. My mom, Stephani Ann Islam, was one of those people.
She was a woman of faith, strength, laughter, and an extraordinary capacity to love. To know her was to know someone who cared deeply, gave generously, and found ways to bring light into the lives of others.

A Life Rooted in Love
Stephani had a gift for bringing people together.
Whether hosting gatherings or family dinners, she made every event special and she enjoyed entertaining family and friends any chance she had.
And if there was one thing you could always recognize Stephani by, it was her laugh. Her infectious laughter was unmistakable. No matter where she went, people knew she was there the moment they heard it. It was the kind of laugh that filled a room, brought smiles to everyone around her, and made even the simplest moments unforgettable.
Her passion for home decor and decorating turned every space into a reflection of her joyful spirit and creativity. She had a great eye for style, a love of shopping, and a passion for event coordinating. Some of her happiest times were spent on beach vacations with her family. She also never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Above all, Stephani was the Best Mom. Her love, strength, and unwavering support made her a guiding light for her family. She was fiercely devoted and endlessly proud, always putting her loved ones first. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Faith Over Fear.
In 2021, Stephani faced one of the greatest challenges of her life when she was diagnosed with cancer. Through the uncertainty, difficult days, and moments of fear, she held tightly to her faith. She trusted God even when she didn't know what tomorrow would bring, finding strength and peace in Him through it all.What made her so special was that even while fighting her own battle, she never stopped showing up for others. She continued to pray for those who needed it, offer encouragement, and remind people they weren't alone. Her circumstances never changed the love she had for others or her willingness to share it.

Her Love Lives On.
Throughout her journey, my mom found comfort in prayer cloths given to her by her aunt. In true Stephani fashion, she began sharing that same comfort with others who needed a little hope, encouragement, or reminder that they weren't alone.
The SAI Legacy was created to honor her and continue the love she so freely gave. Every prayer cloth is handmade with care, carrying forward a tradition that meant so much to her.
Though she's no longer here, her love continues to find its way into the hands and hearts of others.
Her name was Stephani Ann Islam.
Her love is her legacy.
